Let’s Party!

The holidays are a time for family, friends, and looking your best! Here are some beauty tips from Nicole Fae that will help you look your best this holiday season.

1. Get a facial.

A good facial will help to exfoliate your skin and make it look brighter and more radiant. It is also a great way to relax and pamper yourself before the hectic holiday season. if you haven’t had a hydrofacial yet, grrrrr, I am telling you….you are missing out!

2. Use a primer.

A good makeup primer will help your makeup go on smoother and last longer. It is especially important to use a primer if you have oily skin. Click here to learn more about primers.

3. Invest in a good foundation.

A good foundation will cover up any imperfections and give you a flawless finish. It is important to find a foundation that matches your skin tone perfectly.

4. Use concealer.

Concealer is used to cover up dark circles, blemishes, and other imperfections. It is important to find a concealer that matches your skin tone perfectly so that it does not look cakey or obvious. I like to take a little bit of foundation that matches my clients skin tone and mix it in with the concealer to help blend when I am color correcting.

5. Set your makeup with powder

Powder is used to set your makeup and prevent it from rubbinig off or smudging throughout the day or night. Be careful when using powder to set or “bake” your face. Powders enhance fine lines and wrinkles.

6. Contour your face with bronzer or blush.

Bronzer or blush can be used to contour your face by creating shadows and highlights. This will give you a more sculpted look.

7. Highlight your face with highlighter.

Highlighter is used to create brightness and dimension on your face . It can be applied to the cheekbones, brow bones, or my favorite place, the cupid’s bow.

8. Line your lips with lip liner.

Lip liner is used to create definition around the lips . It is also important to use lip liner when wearing bright or dark lipstick colors so that they do not bleed. Here’s my favorite waterproof, long lasting lipliners.

9. Fill in your lips with lipstick.

Lipstick finishes off the look of your lips and can be applied in any color imaginable. If you want a great long lasting lipstick, check out my Liquid Velvet Lipsticks. They are a must-have for red and berry tones.

10. Set your whole look with setting spray.

Setting spray is sprayed over the entire face after all makeup has been applied in order to set the look and prevent it from rubbing off or smudging throughout the day or night. Click here for the setting spray that I use in my makeup kit.

By following these simple tips, you will be sure to look your best this holiday season! Happy holidays!
