Summertime beauty: pass the swim test with water proof makeup

Pool Proof Makeup

It's summertime, which means it's time to hit the beach! But before you do, make sure you have the right makeup to withstand the heat, humidity, and water. That's right, waterproof makeup is a must for anyone who wants their makeup to last through a day in the sun.

There are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for waterproof makeup. First, look for products that are specifically marketed as waterproof or water-resistant. Second, check the labels to see how long the product is supposed to last in water. And finally, make sure to test the product out before using it in the pool or ocean. The last thing you want is for your makeup to melt off your face the minute you get wet!

Waterproof Foundation

One of the most important products in your waterproof makeup arsenal is foundation. A good waterproof foundation will not only withstand sweat and humidity, but it will also stay put when you take a dip in the pool. Look for a foundation that is oil-free and provides full coverage. water-resistant foundations typically come in cream or powder form, so choose whichever one you're more comfortable with. And don't forget to set your foundation with a waterproof setting powder or spray! Check out the water-resistant, transfer resistant foundation that I use in my kit: Hi-Def Foundation

Waterproof Mascara

Another essential for any summertime beauty routine is waterproof mascara. No one wants raccoon eyes when they're trying to enjoy a day at the beach! Look for a mascara that is specifically labeled as waterproof and has a long-wearing formula. For added protection against smudging, try layering a waterproof primer under your mascara. Here’s my favorite one hypoallergenic, waterproof mascara primer! This will help create a barrier between your lashes and any moisture that could cause your mascara to run.

Waterproof Eyeliner

And of course, no summertime beauty look is complete without some sort of waterproof eyeliner. Whether you prefer liquid liner or pencil liner, make sure to choose a product that won't budge, no matter how much sweat or water it comes into contact with. water-resistant eyeliners typically come in pencil form, but there are some liquid liners on the market that are specially formulated to stay put in humid conditions. Whichever type of eyeliner you prefer, just make sure it's waterproof! Check out the waterproof mechanical roll up liner from my makeup line!

With these three essential products—waterproof foundation, mascara, and eyeliner—you'll be ready to take on anything summer throws your way. So hit the beach with confidence knowing that your makeup will stay put, no matter how much heat or water it comes into contact with!
