You'll want something light and bright like a liquid highlighter or concealer two shades lighter than your natural skin tone for highlight, while contour requires an ultra-defined cream bronzer or setting powder that's two tones darker. Then just follow these simple steps to get those perfectly accentuated features!
Start by giving your skin a bit of brightening magic! We’re talking about applying concealer or liquid highlighter in certain areas - like an upside down triangle shape from outer corner to inner corner under the eye for beautiful, luminous results. Don't forget adding product down center of nose, cupid's bow above lip and chin too – just blend with either fingers or a Beauty Blender until everything is seamlessly melted together. Finally make sure all products are set-in-stone stunningly with powder foundation using that large fluffy brush for even coverage
Grab a bronzing brush and blend away! Start by applying product along the temples, hollows of cheeks, sides of nose and jawline. Make sure that you tap off any excess before sweeping downwards for natural-looking shadows. Highlighting and contouring is about accentuating those gorgeous qualities already there, not drawing attention where it's unwanted - like in fashion when we use vertical lines to appear slimmer or horizontal ones for more volume! TOOLS NEEDED:
- Foundation Color that matches your neck & chest. Try my contouring kits that have all the foundations and color correctors all in one place.
- A non-shimmery foundation color that is slightly lighter in color from your foundation color. This could also be a concealer that isn’t meant for color correction.
- A powder bronzer or darker powder then your foundation color. Depending on how dramatic you want your results, you can use a foundation stick to contour and then use your powder to enhance and blend later.
- Shimmer powder or stick.
- Finger, moistened sponge/beauty blender or brushes.
